Give Your Dreams Wings

…You knew there were better things waiting for you…

Hebrews 10:34 (NLT)

I discovered that once I write down the dreams I have in my heart, read them out loud, pray over them and then release them; I always feel calmer and lighter.  It’s as if a load has been lifted and my dreams take wings. It reminds me of the caterpillar that is transformed into a butterfly.  It goes from being earth bound as a caterpillar to upward bond as a chrysalis suspended in the air and then in divine time, this elongated ball is transformed into a beautiful butterfly with wings.

It’s the same with my dreams.  I find that I don’t need to figure out how nor when. (Although, I always want fast results). Reading my dreams out loud releases them to God. It’s my way of saying, “God, I give my dreams to You; manifest them in Your own way and in Your own time”. Then, He quells my fears and concerns and directs my steps toward my dreams.  Many times, I am not consciously aware of the path I must take.  I move my feet and do what I feel the urge to do.  However, it must be a good urge; a good, calm feeling.  It always involves work, dedication and sacrifices, can be a bit challenging and tiring; but it always feels good.

This hit home today as I re-read dreams I had written down in January 2018 and then again in March 2019. Dreams of paying off debts, attaining a healthier weight, de-cluttering my house, to name a few, had materialized. Then, I went back and checked lists from prior years; the same thing occurred; dreams I had written down had happened.

It dawned on me that I had written them down, read them out loud, prayed about them and then released them to God.  But I also remembered that I changed and took actions to support these dreams. The change wasn’t always easy, but I felt a driving force that nudged me along. Some dreams materialized in a few months, others took a few years and others I am still waiting to see come to fruition.

However, this I know with certainty.  When I: 1) write down dreams; 2) read the dreams out loud; 3) pray over the dreams; 4) release them to God and 5) move my feet; I allow God to direct my steps. Like a caterpillar my dreams are transformed into divine possibilities and the miraculous happens.

“The Lord answered me: Write down the vision; write it clearly on clay tablets so whoever reads it can run to tell others.  It is not yet time for the message to come true, but that time is coming soon; the message will come true.  It may seem like a long time, but be patient and wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not be delayed.”  Habakkuk 2:2-3(NCV)

Learning how to feel God’s urges and take action is the hardest thing to do. It takes slowing down enough to receive that message and then taking those steps. Free Will and EGO sometimes creates barriers. I love you for reminding me to focus more and give my dreams (and challenges) to God. 💕🙏🏼
